Using Run Nexaweb Application With Nexaweb Platform 4.2.x

To use the Nexaweb Studio 2.1 Run > Nexaweb Application option with Nexaweb Platform 4.2.x with data framework, Nexaweb recommends that you perform the following steps:

• Add the data framework plug-in to your Nexaweb Client
• Change Visual Editor preferences setting

Adding the Data Framework Plug-in

To add the Nexaweb Platform 4.2.x data framework to your Nexaweb client, follow these steps:

1. Select Run > Nexaweb Application > Configure Launch Settings.
   The Create, manage and run configurations dialog box appears.

   
    

2. Double click Nexaweb Client.
   A New_configuration tab appears.

   
    

3. Click the Arguments tab (which begins with (x)= and you may need to use the tab scroll buttons to make it visible).
4. Enter the following text in the Program Arguments text box: -plugin-key-0 nxplugin-PluginDataFramework.

   
    

5. Click Apply.
6. Click Close.

Changing Visual Editor Preferences Setting

Nexaweb recommends that you deselect the Validate file against schema when saving Visual Editor preference so that you can save NXML files with data frameworks tags with the Visual Editor.
To change Visual Editor preferences, follow these steps:

1. Select Window > Preferences.
   The Preferences dialog box appears.
2. Click + beside Nexaweb to expand the list.
3. Click Visual Editor.
   Visual Editor preferences appear.

   

4. Click the checkbox beside Validate file against Schema when saving to deselect it.
5. Click OK.
